Thinking over his last 10 years of playing with the AlleyCats, Levi reminisced about his favorite memory with the team being back in 2019 when the AlleyCats made it to championship weekend.

He described how the feeling was absolutely electric having all the guys on the team playing one of their best games and cheering each other on.

The game that he remembers so fondly was the one that sent the Alley Cats to championship weekend, although Championship weekend was a memory that is not soon forgotten.

With retirement, Levi will be using his time to now spend more time with his little boy and upcoming newborn. He is excited to watch his two kids grow and hopefully teach them all about Ultimate Frisbee. He also intends to find time for his hobbies that include disc golf and weightlifting.

Levi does not intend to shy away from the AlleyCats and will be in attendance for some games. He plans to watch a few players closely and thinks fans should keep their eyes peeled for these players too. Seth Gudeman is an all around good player. He excels at defense and started on offense this past season. Also to look out for are Joel and Ben Close.

They are considered to be defensive stars and will hopefully be critical players in helping with closer games.

Career Highlights by UFA

Something that Levi is going to miss the most about playing with the AlleyCats is competing at such an elite level as well as the camaraderie.

Competing at such a high level is both a challenge and a welcome opportunity to grow within a sport that has made such an impact on one's life. The bonds that each of these players share with one another is something that stems from pushing each other to be better both on and off the field.

One piece of advice that Levi would have liked to tell himself at the beginning of his career is to learn how to soak up the moments and get lost in playing the game. The biggest aspect of his game that needed improvement was his mental game, like being able to reflect on parts of his own game and then move on instead of obsessing over a mistake.

Being able to stay present in the moment and come back after a mistake is a skill that athletes should be able to hone in on.

The Core Four Levi Jacobs, Nick Hutton, Travis Carpernter and Rick Gross (I to r) all retired at the end of the 2024 Season.

Lastly, Levi would like to send out a big thank you to the AlleyCats organization. As well as a personal thank you to brothers Tom and Tim Held for being founders and ambassadors for the AlleyCats and wanting to build something in Indianapolis.
